On a night steeped in history, Windsor Castle, a symbol of British heritage for over 1,000 years,
opened its doors for the first-ever Open Iftar—a moment of unity, faith, and togetherness.
As proud sponsors of this historic event, Spice Village had the privilege of serving our signature hot meals
in a place that has welcomed world leaders, royalty, and now, a diverse community coming together for Ramadan.
For centuries, Windsor Castle has stood as a beacon of tradition and history, but on this special night, it became a place of inclusion, breaking barriers, and fostering community spirit. The sight of people from different backgrounds sitting together, sharing food, and reflecting on the essence of Ramadan was truly heartwarming.
At Spice Village, we believe food is more than just nourishment—it’s a way to bring people together, to build bridges, and to celebrate cultural diversity. Seeing the joy on people’s faces as they enjoyed our food was a reminder of why we do what we do.
As a British Pakistani and a proud Muslim, being part of this historic moment was deeply meaningful.
This iftar was not just about breaking the fast; it was a testament to Britain’s rich multicultural tapestry and the power of inclusivity.
A heartfelt thank you to His Majesty the King and the Royal Collection Trust for opening the doors of
Windsor Castle for this monumental occasion, and to the
Ramadan Tent Project for creating spaces where communities can come together in the spirit of Ramadan.
This night will be etched in history, and we at Spice Village are honored to have played a part in it.
May this be the start of many more moments of unity, understanding, and celebration.
✨ Ramadan Kareem from all of us at Spice Village!
